Fiix and Jira Service Desk Integration
Description
Our team was addressed with a request to create a Jira Cloud app to enable Fiix and Jira Service Desk Integration. The result is a custom-developed Jira add-on that synchronizes data between the two systems.
Goal
Fiix is a cloud-based CMMS software that allows planning, tracking, and optimizing maintenance. The main issue is that Fiix doesn't have a safe external customer portal where users can create work orders, choose issue types, and fill out all the necessary fields. Using Jira Service Desk (JSD) for this purpose came as a suitable option.
Solution
We developed a Jira Cloud app that syncs data between Fiix and Jira Serice Desk. The main challenge turned out to be the direct assets search via API in Fiix, which is a long and hard process. It was solved by using Lucene Index that allows users to search assets in Fiix faster and more safely.
